| Digital City Luoyang 2003 Project is a simulated test of developing a web sites which integrate the local information such as food, live, tourist, shopping and entertainment on wireless and broadband platform. This project is developed by web lab in Luoyang University.The experiment of this subject can offer a set of intact and advanced courseware for the universities and relevant department on society, and form CBT product. This project aims the research of wireless net especially and simulates the course of run and development. With the usage of Open Source software, the project introduces an economical scheme, which can set up a suitable wireless web platform for many small and medium-sized enterprises and involves the whole flow from building up a web site to development of a web site. The project will produce a practical and educational CBT software which can offer the wireless web field effective technological template and work mode and can be used as a courseware for personal training in this field. It can improve the current situation of shortage for information in this field and realize integrate of produce, study and research. This paper explains how to set up an economical an effective platform for wireless web which use Redhat Linux9 as operation system. It involves the upbuild of WWW, FTP, Mail, DNS, Mail Server and analyzes the course of configuration. Kannel1.0.3 is used to set up WAP wireless Gateway which is the core of wireless web. The paper introduces WML program, the development platform NOKIA Toolkit and analyzes the NOKIA 5100 SDK. It offers the method of integrating the WML and PHP language to communication with the web site. In the last, a multimedia CD is introduced which involves the whole process. It can offer a applied instance to small and medium-sized enterprises in this field and those who want to study the development technology of internet. The content of CD can be issued in web with Shockwave as a courseware to more people to study and reference. |
