Since 1990, the theories of KDD and data mining have now been applied to market analysis, financial investment, deceiving identification, product and manufacture , electronic commerce , net management, biology, medicine, astronomy, geography, especially popularly in market analysis, telecom, banking and financial investment. Some people even think that at the beginning of the new century, the techniques and theories of KDD and data mining will continue developing in order to meet the growing need in future.Data mining applies complicated statistic analyzing and techniques of modeling to illustrate the inside mode and relation-which always can be neglected in common methods. Data mining mainly uses data analysis to help us to make some decisions, and also to find some valuable rules. Meanwhile it also means a kind of analyzing process; here we identify it as methodology. In general, the concept of data mining is the same as that of KDD. Besides the common requirement of data analysis, it also includes conjunction/ sequence analysis, clustering analysis, classified analysis , regression analysis etc.This essay is based on the key project "the database setup of geology and mining of huge mines in Guangxi". We use data mining as our theoretic guide, advanced computer language Visual Basic-as our tool, we design "central database management and application system of huge mines in Guangxi-GDBM&DMS". It is made up of two parts: GDBM system and DM system. It can easily realize all the functions of database management information system. Besides; it was designed according to the characteristic of mining tasks and data mining, whose functions cover the whole course of data mining. It totally meet the need of data mining in geology, in addition, it can also be applied in market analysis, telecom, banking, financial investment, etc.Here the author set up the geometry mode with this system, describing and predicting the distributing of Sn magma bodies of huge mines, trying to find out the rules of them, which will bring us a lot ofscience gist of how to make the best of mines and reduce expenses and pollutions.Compared with the other systems of the same kind, it has Chinese interface , easily to use, learn and popularize. Its application will help us to popularize the data mining methodology, and also will have great influence on the application of data mining and systemic direction in mining produce.
