Web Scada System Based On Corba Architecture

This paper constructs an architecture based on CORBA for the Web SCADA system. It aims to solve the over-dependence on Windows platform of Web SCADA systems, and so CORBA, an open standard for distributed computing, is used. The core of the architecture is a middleware that is named the CORBA Proxy. It is responsible for the communication between Java Applet clients and the server. Based on the architecture, the author designs a prototype of the Web SCADA system, and finally implements it. On the implemented prototype, the author tests the functions of the CORBA Proxy, and gets the result that the CORBA Proxy reaches its design goals, and it is applicable to develop Web SCADA systems based on the provided architecture. The technologies, such as Java Applet, Java RMI and CORBA, are used to implement the prototype.
