Research And Development Of Mechanical Basic Courses In Multimedia Cai System

The mechanical fundamental courses with their continuous knowledge development and variation are closely tied with the practical engineering. The traditional teaching methods and the current CAI software of fixed structure are not suitable for the development of the education of these courses. Therefore it is necessary to exploit a new multimedia CAI system for the courses.By introducing the development and the current status of CAI, this paper analyses the programming software selection and the hardware needed for exploiting the multimedia CAI system. Then exploitation mode of software and the design principle for the multimedia CAI system are discussed. An open flexible and easy to use CAI system for mechanical fundamental courses is designed according to the characteristics of courses. This paper also discussed the methods to produce various multimedia CAI files.This system uses Delphi as the programming development tool and InterBase as the database-designing tool. Testing and application show that the system is of intimate with human and computers.
