Design And Implementation Of The H.323 Voip Radius Accounting Management System

Accompanied with the development of the Internet and technology of VoIP(Voice over IP), transmit voice data from Internet but not from Public Switched Telephone Network(PSTN) is more and more feasible. Because of various benefits, such as low price, high efficiency of using network, etc., VoIP has becme one of the services that grow at the fastest speed in telecommunication industry.H323 is an important and mature protocol of VoIP, at the present time, the H.323 protocol is fit more to our country. In this Issue, the VoIP system we discussed is based on H.323. Gatekeeper is an important part of H.323 VoIP system, it offers users the function of call authorization and call management. A VoIP CC&B(VoIP Customer Care&Billing) system is the key of successfully development to a ITSP, so we emphases on the gatekeeper and AAA (Authentication,Authorize and Accounting) system.The purpose of the project group that the author participated is to aim at small-scale operator oversea and domestic group user, and to work out a VoIP gatekeeper that is cooperate with high performance and low price terminal based on H.323. This system provides a whole solution for the customer. By project group's hard work, we successfully developed out GK2000 system. GK2000 system provides the basic functions that be defined by H.323 and simple and convenient operating and management functions, so it makes good winning after entering market. The author writes this article based on the project, and he first introduces the architecture, protocols stack and call procedure of H.323, then introduces GK2000's design and implement, including RADIUS AAA module architecture design, software's architecture design, and GK2000 administering module architecture design and implement, as well as introducing the functions of software modules. Then introduces GK2000's tests. Eventually, the author makes a summary of GK2000 and puts forward some advanced ideas for it.
