| The 193 service is the long-distance call sevice carried out by China Unicom and the 17911 is one-off dialing service of China Unicom's IP call business. Currently, the 193 charging system is divided into four parts. They are three regional charging systems located in Beijing, Shanghai and Guangzhou respectively and a national liquidating system. While the 17911 charging system is separated from charging system respectively and liquidating system in the headquarters. With the continuous growth of the 193 service, the subscriber amount and network scale have been both expanded dramatically. As a result, the existing regional charging mode become unable to meet the huge demand. So China Unicom will alter the current mode into another one with province as the elementary unit. Given the many common aspects shared by the 193 and the 17911 service, the idea of merging the two charging system is taken into consideration. This merge will give full play to the network resource owned by China Unicom long-distance call network and the VoIP network. Thus, make the business strength of the two parts concerned complement each other, promote the business competitiveness and build a base for the run of successive Integrated Business Operation Support System. |
