The Framework And Design Of Intelligent Home Network

As the computer network and information technology is progressed,intelligent home is getting a more attention. The objective of home network is to use home bus technology to integrate all kinds of home devices,such as communication devices,home appliances and home security devices,into an intelligent home system. Based on the home system,home information and appliances can be centrally or remotely monitored,controlled and managed. Furthermore,this home system must be compatible with the home environment. However,it would take long time to realize this objective because at present the criterion of home network has not been unified and many technology problems still exist.The paper deeply analyzes the framework of intelligent home network,and presents a model of home network after the study on the technology and development of home network. This model applies many communication mediums,such as twisted pair,power line,infrared,RF,etc.,to home network based on communication technology,which can meet lots of needs. Furthermore,in this paper,it discusses in detail the design of the intelligent controller,the central node of home network. Based on the hardware of the intelligent controller,it also designs the embedded operating system and applications. Considering the character of home network,this OS takes non-preemptive information driving approach to realize the real time and multitask. In order to realize the remote control and Internet connectivity,this paper describes the theory of embedded Internet connectivity and introduces a solution of home gateway. This solution is based on MPU and network interface controller,and applies the TCP/IP stacks to the embedded system,which can make it realize the function of web server.
