DSP and CPU processor are among the product that develops fastest in the electronic industry field, they are applied widely in the field of communication, consumption and multimedia.DSP presents digital signal processor, and it can also present digital signal processor. The latter is a kind of technique, which can change into real product via the former. In the past twenty years, DSP has been used widely in the various field. The rapid impovement of DSP chipexpands the influence of DSP technique, which now can finish more and more task, and the theory of DSP which once was never realized makes great progress. Meanwhile, DSP also speeds the development of other field. It can be said for sure that DSP has played an important role in the field of computer, control and so on.RISC(Reduced Instruction Set Computer)which appeared in the early 80's is a great transformation of computer architecture. It aims at reducing the number of execution cycles of instructions, and has experienced from the period of single issue architecture to the period of multiple issue architecture. In the past twenty years, RISC has become more and more mature abroad. It makes great sense to develop our own RISC and it is a effective way to develop our own RISC with the instruction set which is compatible with those of RISC which has been widely used.Based on above, our lab has designed a 32-bit processor that combines the performance of RISC and DSP, and meanwhile, we have designed the corresponding software developing tools including assembler, simulator and C compiler. The function of the assembler is to change assembly language to binary sequence, which makes it easier for the user to program with the chip. And software simulator is used to simulate the behavior of the program running on the real chip with software. The simulator can not only bring convenience to the user of the chip, but also make the software developing synchronous with the design of hardware. The thesis mainly discusses the design of the assembler and the simulator.
