Research And Development Of The Smart Home System

Intelligent home system intends to improve people's living quality and make home more comfortable, secure and efficient by using advanced technologies. Developed with electronics, communication and network, it is concerned with operation and management toward all household intelligent equipments.This thesis makes some meaningful research and attempt in this interesting area. It consists of seven chapters:Chapter one introduces the history and current developments of home automation.Chapter two presents some chief protocols applied to home automation.Chapter three is about the research of home intelligent control system based on Homebus Protocol. The hardware and software developments of main controller, sensor modules, operator modules and secure modules are explained in details.Chapter four analyses the characters and difficulties of power line carrier communication, describes X-10 communication protocol and the overall frame of intelligent home system based on X-10 Protocol.Chapter five emphasizes on the hardware design of send-receive module based on X-10 protocol.Chapter six emphasizes on the software design of send-receive module based on X-10 protocol.Chapter seven makes an attempt to apply voice recognition to the intelligent home system.
