| The 21th century is an era of e-Education, and web-based education will become the main tendency of the future education. The development of webcourses is an important step for the implementation of web-based education. Now the development of webcourses in China has such disadvantages as a long development circle, a large amount of investment, a small number and lower quality. One important reason that causes this is there are few software tools available for teachers. So the author researches and develops the Web-Course Development System (WebCDS) which can be used by teachers to design and develop webcourses. WebCDS provides teachers a webcourse development tool, which is based on web, safe, easy to use, high efficient, what's more, can bring teachers' creativity into full play. The system overcomes the above disadvantages: it shortens the development circle, improves the quality of courses, and promotes the web-based education.The thesis is divided into 6 parts. The first chapter is the preface that mainly describes the background, purpose and meaning of the research and development of the project. Based on the analysis of the characteristics, theory base and instruction models of the web-based teaching, the second chapter puts forward the WebCDS's theoretical model and explains its functional features. The third chapter is mainly about the design ideas of the whole system, the detailed design of each module and the system's safety. The fourth chapter introduces the development methods, models, technical plan and the key development technologies such as component technology and ADO. In addition, it introduces the technical realization of the main functional modules. The fifth chapter is the evaluation on the system made by some teachers, and the analysis of the result made by the author. In conclusion, the thesis looks into the future of the system and analyzes the further work. |
