Software Compression-based Digital Video Surveillance System

Multimedia coding and decoding technology is the hotspot of multimedia technology field at present. "Numeral Taping Monitor and Control System", the question for study in my postgraduate period, also involves video image information's coding and decoding. ISO has established a series of standards for video coding standard. MPEG-4 is used as the coding and decoding standard in this system. In this paper, software compressing standard is introduced for numeral video at first. After that, coding and encoding courses of MPEG-4 is recommended in detail. "Numeral Monitor and Control System" is introduced on top of that. Coding, storing and decoding processes of numeral information are introduced in emphases. Which information comes into being after picture taken from camera has been gathered, estimated and coding decoding by gathering card. Using correlative filters offered by DirectShow to do unitary visible designing for Monitor and Control System in GraphEdit. DivX which is one of MPEG-4's codec is used as codec of this system. The arithmetic of coding and encoding are presented in the end.
