With the development of network and simulation technology, Distributed Simulation technology is also developed. There are many technologies for writing a Distributed Simulation program: from the initial network programming technology to RPC, COM/DCOM, RMI and CORBA.Every technology has its advantage and disadvantage. As the content of the paper-the research of Hyterogeneous Network Distributed Simulation, this paper compares these technology and select CORBA technology to develop the research. In the process of Hyterogeneous Network Distributed Simulation research, this paper include the following work:(1) Most of the distributed simulation researchs nowadays base on Windows system, start from this point, we study the necessary of Hyterogeneous Network Distributed Simulation research and design the network simulation environment based on Windows and Linux operating system for Hyterogeneous Network Distributed Simulation research.(2) The paper compare the most useful technology for developing a distributed system, select out the most suitable technology-CORBA as the base technology of Hyterogeneous Network Distributed Simulation research. In this process, the paper develops software based on the Socket technology.(3) CORBA is a specification, it define the interface and leave the implement to the others. Many company have implemented it, so the paper study and summarize the corresponding product, select out the ACE/TAO product to develop the thesis and introduce the real-time propertiy provided in TAO.(4) Using the concrete sample, based on TAO, this thesis develop the software of Hyterogeneous Network Distributed Simulation and verify the feasibility of selecting the CORBA and ACE.
