City Street Scada System Control Center Software Design And Implementation

This paper is based on the project of "the wireless supervisory control system of Street light in YanTai city ", which is a typical SCADA system.SCADA systems consist of three functional components: communications equipments, remote terminal Unit (RTU), and control center. It is the technology that enables a user to collect data from one or more RTUs and send limited control instructions to those RTUs. We realized communication between the control center and RTUs on radio and accomplished real-time collection, disposal of street light data.In the paper, the author firstly analyzes the state of street light management and the importance of developing a supervisory control system, then summarizes the framework and principle of SCADA system. The design and implementation of street light SCADA system control center software based on Client/Server and used tools of Visual Basic 6.0 and SQL Server 2000 are introduced in the end.
