Along with the rapid economic development, the power consumption subsequent is increased rapidly, so power has become scarce resources. A considerable part of the annual electric energy is consumed by the lighting of approximately 12% in China. However, power consumption by city-street-light system is also important not to neglect the part. The city-street-light system is an important component of a city, and its intelligence reflects the city's modernization level. Therefore, the system which is highly automatic, reliable, efficient energy saving, convenient to use and supervise is designed.By changing the existing lighting control backward way to save energy is to establish a conservation-minded society of the important components.Along with the modern city region growing, more and more of its streetlights to be more intelligent, this paper presents a GPRS (General Packet Radio Service) wireless communications and power line carrier communications (Power Line Carrier Communications), which combines the city lights Remote Monitoring System. Making full use of this means of communication skills, and the cost-effective high lighting control system is designed. It is an exploration and research of the city street lighting control system.The situation and the problems of the existing city-street-light remote monitoring system are ananylsed and the new system is designed in this paper. The design includes the system's basic structure, communications systems, centralized controller, and city-street-light controller. The system's basic structure consists of the system components and functions. System uses GPRS and PLCC communication means between the various parts of the communications. Centralized Controller is designed of the main controller for the main CPU, GPRS module, PLCC module selection, Power design, the two modules interface design and the external circuit design; Carrier agreements on electricity by improving the design, thinking of using modular controller focused on the software flow chart of the design : the design of the main program, GPRS subroutine, PLCC Send / Receive subroutine, the subroutine of man-machine interface, ADC and data acquisition procedures subroutine. A dynamic routing algorithm for the city-street-light controller software is devised. The algorithm is used in relaying correspondence between the lights.Following the system design, the dynamic routing algorithm is simulated. And the main modules of hardware are tested. Experimental results show that the designed system met design requirements.
