In Modern industrial, the change of communication architecture from point-to-point to this common-bus approach, however, introduces different forms of time-delay uncertainty in the closed-loop system dynamics. This thesis analyses the network subsection of networked control system in terms of network technology. A hardware-in-the-loop simulation system software was developed. Main achievements are as follows:(1) The MAC of three kinds of networks, Ethernet, DeviceNet, ControlNet are analyzed. And then this thesis analyzes timing components of network-induced time delay. The network performance metrics are introduced and the relationship between performance and the metrics is analyzed.(2) On the basis of the networked control system model with networked-induced delay, the stability of this system is analyzed by hybrid system theory. The integrator example stability region is widen by the analysis and the simulation results are given and validate the conclusion.(3) The hardware-in-the-loop simulation software of the networked control system on Ethernet has been developed. The communication between VC++ program and MATLAB technology and the rationality problem of the simulation sampling was solved. Many experiment was performed and the results indicate the effectiveness of the software. The analysis of network performance is proved to be rational by research results. The research results also indicate that the NCS stability analysis and the programmed hardware-in-the-loop simulation software can be the reference of more research.
