Engineering Signal Analysis Virtual Instrument

Virtual instrument is a new kind of instrument which takes advantage of the present computer, instrument hardware designed especially and special software. Besides the basic functions of those common instruments, it has some other particular functions.This paper discusses the basic conception and technological support of VI , the basic theory of analyzing and dealing signal and the principles of BH5109 A/D card. Based on the knowledge noted above, a VI named VI2002 is developed through Visual C++ 6.0 in Windows 98 , which can be used to analyze engineering signal. This VI, based on BH5109 A/D card, performs such functions as signal acquisition, Time-Field analysis on signal, Frequency-Field analysis on signal, data management and so on successfully. Practice proves its excellent effects. Based on the idea that I should use the least sentences to realize the most functions, I make the VI look beautiful, operate simply, have a lot of functions, run smoothly, have simple sentences and sample correctly and so on. The VI was used to test some engineering work, and tested with standard instrument, which can proved that the VI has favorable effects and can be trusted.
