Computer science changing with each passing day has motivated the development of Internet. With the rapid development of micro-electronic and photoelectron technologies, PDA, Mobile Phone, Information Appliances have been produced, and they all need the rich existing service resources. These devices, together with traditional server, station, personal computer, compose a huge and complex network, and these all devices can also provide services themselves. But how do you manage the complexity of a network and all kinds of devices and services? How to make these devices communicate each other? Peer-to-peer networking(p2p) can solve these problems and extend Internet.First, the paper explains client/server model, the most popular model used by most Internet services, and the history, status quo of peer-to-peer networking. Secondly, it analyses a new p2p platform, JXTA, including its frame and protocol. Finally, the paper provides a practical instance - a p2p network game framework built upon JXTA, and pictures the prospect of JXTA technology.
