The traditional C/S model has been popular for a long time. It ever was a successful solution to enterprise compute. With the application on Internet becoming more and more widely and Internet technology being more and more advanced,the traditional C/S model appears obviously not to meet the development requirement of modern enterprise application. Modern enterprise compute is requested to support convenient and rapid interaction between business and business,business and client around the world. Internet is a heterogeneous network that consists of varieties of operation platforms around the world,so modern enterprise application must be able to cross platforms. In addition,with the globalization of economic,modern enterprise must adapt to the changeful market,and collect effective information to make their decisions rapidly in order that it can occupy a good position,Therefore,modern enterprise compute must has the following features:distributed,well-scaled,reliable and secure.J2EE(Java 2 Enterprise Edition) platform released recently by SUN fully meets the development requirement of modern enterprise application. It not only inherits platform-independent feature of Java language,but also combines component technology. It provides modern enterprise with a integrated solution to establish multi-tiers distributed application rapidly. This article takes the problem modem enterprise compute facing as a start-point,and selects J2EE that is the most advanced and perfect enterprise compute technology at present as a center of research .At the same time J2EE platform technologies are discussed deeply,such as J2EE platform service technologies,communication technologies,EJB(Enterprise JavaBeans) component technologies and so on,and place more emphasis on multi-tiers(Client Layer,Web Layer,EJB Layer,EIS Layer) distributed enterprise application model based on J2EE technology and how to establish multi-tiers distributed enterprise application system based on J2EE platform. Finally,a multi-tiers distributed enterprise compute model is designed,and an example is established based on this model.
