This paper systematically presents the importance of the research of low-voltage and low-power analogue integrated circuit design, and it introduces the development of current-modedevice-Current Conveyor(CC) and synthesizes its applicationsin the fields of active network and signal process. In this paper, basic circuit models of CC-current mirror and active impedanceare analysed and a new active feedback current mirror is proposed which can achieve larger output impedance, higher current transfer precision , lower power and wider signal dynamic swing. On the basis of other Current Conveyors' design, a new low-voltage and low-power CMOS Current Conveyor is proposed and simulated. The simulated results present that the circuit can offer several advantages such as low static state current (<100A), low power (<300W) , wider dynamic swing and higher signal transfer precision when the operation voltage is 1.5V. A new CCIII is designed by using CCII and its working characters are analysed. The applications of the CCII in the fields of the active network and signal process are synthesized, especial ly the simulated inductor, and a new circuit of the simulated inductor is proposed. This paper summarizes the design ways of active filter based on the Current Conveyors in detail, and three ways which can deduce current-mode continuous time filters from voltage-mode active filters. At last, the design ways of second-order filters based on CC are proposed.
