Virtual instruments (VIs) are combination of computer and traditional instrument. VI is one hotspot of current research and application in the field of test and control.The object of this paper is the VXI bus measurement system which is designed for the collage subject construction. Through research we develop the virtual instrument with good operation character. This paper mainly introduce the constitution of the VXI bus test system, demonstrate the configuration and usage of the HP E1441A module and do some related test of AWG combining with the MIO-64XE-10 module . We also measure the accuracy of frequency and waveform instability and design the virtual digital oscilloscope and spectrum analyzer for the measurement using the graph language LabVIEW. This program affords an accurate signal source for lab and plays very important rule during the design process of the virtual instrumento The key technology is the bus technology and graph programming method which has been shown in this paper. For example, we can draw waveform with mouse or formula. VXI bus instrument is ideal choice and LabVIEW improves the speed of VXI measurement and programming. LabVIEW becomes more and more popular because of its good operation and strong function . We can operate VI through the soft front panel to display the input signal and analyze the results after the signal has been disposed of.
