As a result of spectrum analysis theory having become an important method for the studyof modern signal analysis, the spectrum analyzer which is a electronic measuring tool in thefield of spectrum analysis is rapidly developing. In order to further improve the utilization oflow-end spectrum analyzer, reducing its development costs and achieving programmablefunctions of a instrument, the dissertation developed a low-cost, programmable spectrumanalyzer.Hardware design mainly includes TMS320F2808DSP and EP3C16Q240C8FPGAhardware circuits structures, analog channels, the design of the keyboard scanning circuit andthe GPIB interface examination and application. Because of the TMS320F2808memoryspace limitations, this design, make use of the FPGA internal ROM, and using the FPGA hascompleted the design of the common interface platform. Software design: First, the DSP asthe main controller, achieves the entire system management, control and display functions.While using the ADC of the DSP internal integration completes the data collection and usingits internal resources complete the FFT algorithm and optimization. Finally, CommunicationsTest Platform by Lab Windows/CVI software designing, tests programmable function of theinstrument.As an intelligent instrument, the instrument can be connected through its internalcommon interface platform to the laboratory GPIB, USB, TCP/IP interface board, and becombined into a multi-interface-compatible programmable instrument. Users can also sendSCPI instructions through the computer to complete the measurement functions,Thusconstitutes an automatic test system with computer and GPIB, USB, TCP/IP or otherinterfaces.Field tests show that the programmable spectrum analyzer has achieved data collectionin time domain and frequency domain display, keyboard control, and programmable testingfunction, and each functional module has detailed analyzed, devised and debugged, basicallymeet the design requirements.
