Today,digital oscilloscope is no longer a kind of simple instrument to display the relationship between electrical signal and time only, like one hundred years ago, which is becoming to be a kind of complex and composite digital signal process system, it is able to sample signal faster and analyze signal more complicated, and reflect the whole rules of the analog and digital signal all-dimensionally in a more higher dimension, for example, in the dimension of the distribution in time of the level of signal. This paper reveals the advanced technologies and the directions of development about the best oscilloscopes (Digital Phosphor Oscilloscope, DPO in short, produced by Tektronix, and Mixed Signal Oscilloscope, MSO in short, produced by Agilent Technologies) in today's world, through the instruction of the change history of oscilloscope and the comparison of the three generations of oscilloscope. This paper mentions a general display system design for realizing digital fluorescence for digital storage oscilloscope. The point of this design is the realization of digital fluorescence. And the paper mainly mentions the realization and co-operation for two modules. Firstly, the whole design is discussed. Then, basic display module is the first module, and its operating principle of its smaller modules and its whole module design are described. Thirdly, interface expanding module is the second module, and its operating principle of all kinds of its interfaces and its whole module design are described.At last, the paper makes the conclusion of the whole system design about its theory and practice meaning, describes the test results of the functional prototype system, and make an assumption to scale up system performance about the improvement of the system design.
