Based on the theories of grain growth in ceramics, a tree structure and a discrete method are proposed in this thesis to improve the running speed of simulation program. At the same time, distinguishing the inner atoms and outeratoms is also discussed. By all of these means, a computation of o( n2/3)isreached in the thesis, which is equal to the ideal computation.There are five chapters in the thesis. The current fact of computer simulation of grain growth is reviewed in chapter 1; Microstructure of ceramic grain, growing morphology and growing dynamics are discussed in chapter 2; In chapter 3,improving the existing situation in its different growing phases is disused; Corresponding data structure is given; In chapter 4, the design and the development of simulation software is discussed, and the qualitative simulation images as well as the quantitative simulation results are reported ;In chapter 5, conclusions are given and issues to be improved for the simulation is pointed out.
