Data acquisition and processing (DAP) occupies a core position in all the fields related to numerical information processing. In recent years, the development of experimental mechanics is closely related to computer, the data processing technique of the latter leads the former to a new height and makes it modern and new high technology of important technical and economic meaning.With the technological development, more and more original data shall be acquired and processed and a large amount of intermediate data and result data will be produced in processing. Pure digital data have developed to multimedia data such as sound and image ones, so that there are more demands for advanced data management. Moreover, the system calls for higher integration degree even on-line real-time processing in many cases, and its integration with network and distributed processing need considering as well. Thus it is necessary to adopt database technique to conduct data management.The stand-alone management mode cannot meet demands of modern experiment data acquisition and processing. Data acquisition, storage, processing and demonstration of spatial separation require network management wherefore the choice of network structure shall be involved. Windows DNA, a solution raised by Microsoft Company based on Windows platform aiming to develop a strong, stable and extensible distributed network application system, takes system structure of three as basic frame and COM/ DCOM as its core technique.In this article, the development history of data management mode is reviewed. Databases especially SQL Server 2000 are introduced in detail. Three kinds of data access objects DAO, RDO, ADO and Windows DNA structure of three are discussed at length. Integration mode of software system is summarized and a set of software is programmed on this basis to realize the database management of experiment data. In addition, another set of VOD management system software is programmed to ensure its normal operation and effective management.
