Cd Player Servo Technology

Servo is an important subject of Digital Disk Technology. It is applied to digital optical disk player for home (such as CD, Video-CD and DVD player etc.) and optical memory driver (For example, CD-ROM,DVD-ROM etc.) and so on. In this thesis, the technology of focusing servo and tracking servo for digital optical disk player are studied, the main works are as follows:(1) The structure and recording mode of the disk is studied firstly, then show what are the main factors of the disk itself which influence the focusing and tracking servo.(2) Studying the theory of optical pickup head unit (OPU)and how to pickup the signal on the disk. Based on these theories, it analyse the structure of the focusing and tracking device.(3) The principle of focusing servo and tracking servo is studied, including reasons of focusing/tracking error and how to check out these errors. Then show the models of the focusing and tracking servo, and diskribe the process which servo circuits do by examples.(4) Introduce the servo ICs of Matsushita.(5)Show the scheme of servo system using of the servo ICs of Matsushita. Then build up a setting that can validate the scheme.(6)Finally, use the setting to judge of the scheme and the results of the experimentation are given.
