| With multimedia technology developing quickly, data compression is becoming more and more important. This paper analyse the characteristic of wavelet transformation and discusses several important problem on the use of the wavelet in image compression. Futhermore, a new compression algorithm is designed.Firstly ,in this paper the importance,the necessary and the traditional method of the compression technology are summarized. Moreover, several lately methods are introduced.Secondly, the relation between wavelet transformation and image compression is researched, including the wavelet base border extension and resolving levels. Besides ,the merit of wavelet transformation is explained .It is discussed realizing two dimension dispersed wavelet transformation by the way of one dimension. A structure of the wavelet transformation filter is constructed.Finally, a new algorithm is designed ,based on JPEG and the analysis/ synthesizing filter , which realizes two dimension dispersed wavelet transformation using one dimension. |
