The thesis is a part of millimeter-wave hybrid-integrated project. The purpose is to escalate the centimeter-wave signals to Ka-Band through multiplier and attain OdB conversion gain by means of power amplifier, serves in local oscillation source of 3-paths mixer in single-pulse and partial summation guidance radar system with the advantage of low cost^ small in size and high independence.In the thesis , comparing the formula of microstrip permittivty,we get the applicable formula; To analyse the discontinuity and parallel coupled microstrip and the band-pass filter is designed ; Waveguide-to-microstrip transition is simulated and fabricated for measurement in waveguide system. The insertion loss of ridge-waveguide is below 0.7dB and the probe is below 0.5dB.In active section, the stability and noise of amplifier are analysed and the methods to design high-gain or low noise amplifier are proposed; The stability and noise of multiplier are also analysed. Especially the feedback-multiplier is investigated for the compression on undesired harmonics and low consumption .The triples quadrupler/amplifier module of Ka-Band is fabricated by using HMMC5040 to achieve the OdB conversion gain.As an application of the module , the Ka-band double paths integrated receiver is analysed. To simulate the multiplier, the harmonic balance method is used.As a result ,the maximum gain is 5. IdB in tripler/amplif ier module in the range of 3\.5~36GHz;and 1dB in quadrupler/amplifier module in the range of 34~35GHz .We draw the conclusion that the multiplier/amplifier module can serve in local oscillation source of 3-paths mixer in single-pulse and partial summation guidance radar system.
