Digital signal processor has strong operation capability, which is wide used for imaging process. In TMS320C3X, TMS320VC33 have the most strong operation capability reaching 150 MFLOPS. We make use of TMS320VC33 to design the image processing system. The system have follow characteristic:We used TLC5540 for digital converter, the maximum conversion rate of the TLC5540 is at least 40 MSPS (Mega Samples Per Second), and the typical analog input bandwidth is more than 75MHz.The design between TLC5540 and TMS320VC33 interface directly. So we can reach higher conversion rate.Data processed with TMS320VC33 are transmitted to computer. The interface between TMS320VC33 and computer are used PCI bus. When clock frequency is 33MHz, the maximum transmit rate is 132MB/s.it is suit for a large of data.Considering for program debugging, we used flash for program Rom. Now we can modify program on-line. Have no use for program device.In the circuit, we used programmable logic device, which improve performance of the circuit. What is more, it can reduce area of circuit.At last, we program Virtual Device Driver and application program with VC++6.0 and VTOOLS. The software can convenience display result processed difference arithmetic.
