As journalistic self-discipline and disciplined by others are two modes of media control that run parallel, entertainment news cannot develop healthily without the cooperation of media self-discipline and restriction of laws. Journalistic self-discipline is the self-restriction by the media and journalists on the activity of message spreading. Apart from the cultivation of journalism morality, we should strengthen the operation ability of self-discipline and set up the specific and detailed regulations and establish self-discipline agency, which has the power to carry out the regulation.For the media, discipline by others refers to the laws that are of power to restrict on journalists. As the agency ofthe society, media should follow the rule to respect the right of reputation and the right of privacy on citizen. Otherwise they will be accused of infringing rights. If the journalists exceed the limits of Constitution, civil law and penal code when doing interviewing and reporting, there is a possibility that they will be charged on the court, which is unfavorable whatever to media or journalists themselves. Therefore,journalists of entertainment news should be clear about what is the specific behavior of infringement on the right of reputation and the right of privacy. Also, they should have the knowledge of the defense method against the accusation of infringing the right of reputation and the right of privacy in order to protect their rights of interview.
