The production quality control data that were collected from the product of BaoSteel stainless steel branch in the last more than twenty years are a rare quality "treasure", but have not been mined all the time, resulting in the short of the mensurable, authority and scientific analysis and evaluation in the quality management of the product. The main problem is there is no good way to process and analyse data, thus unable to make sure the reasons for fluctuations in the analysis and the basis for improved support. Today, with the storage capacity and the development of high-speed computation ability of the computer, if the computer can do the real-time analysis to all the various setting data and the actual real-time data in the hot strip production process, the quality control of Hot Rolling will be greatly enhanced. Therefore the development of such a system will be very significant.The QAS (Quality Analysis System) is designed and implemented based on analyzing the quality data of hot rolling mill factory of BaoSteel stainless steel branch.This thesis, firstly, introduces the relevant techniques used in this paper, and descripes the requirements of the QAS. According to these requirements, this thesis presents the structure and the specific design methods of the QAS system. The system is developed in the Microsoft Visual Studio .NET platform, and with the Oracle as the database management system. And the thesis designs and implements mainly the QAS's portal based on Intranet, the background quality database (QDB), and the algorithms for abnormal diagnosis. Thereinto, it uses Fast Fourier Transform (FFT) for the production data transformation, in order to analyse the FM delivery thickness and width. And it puts forward analytical methods,which make the results more accurate. By experiment, the methods based on the spectrum analysis for the diagnosis of abnormal make the results more consulting and guidance value. The system solves the crucial problems, such as the abnormal diagnosis of the four technical measments in the process of hot rolling, and enhances the level of the quality management.The Implementation of the system greatly improves the. level of abnormal diagnosis to product quality, and reduces the discard ratio as useless of productions. So, the QAS has a highly practical significance.
