This thesis focuses on a 3D interactive garment Try-On system. A complete garment Try-On system can be divided into three main modules: 3D garment showing, 3D garment interactive modify, 2D GCAD/CAM. 2D GCAD/CAM subsystem is clearly out of discussion. Our system uses triangle nets to represent 3D garments. The mapping between 3D patches and 2D panels is implemented by utilize the texture coordinates of vertex nodes. Most popularly used interactive modify, length modification, circumstance modification, patch outline modification, and cloth change etc, are described. Among it, computer simulation of jacquard appearance is discussed in details.A model-based approach is studied for 3D human body reconstruction from a set of specific person images. A generic 3D model represents 3D structure information. The shape of a specific person is captured by mapping 2D silhouette information from the orthogonal view color images onto the generic 3D model. Color texture mapping is achieved by projecting the set of images onto the deformed 3D model. This results in the 3D approximate model of an individual. In foreground contour extraction from image sequence, author proposed a improved algorithm based on MIT technique report to obtain a satisfactory result. Besides, this article uses physically-based dynamic simulation method to model garment draping. A novel collision detection approach is applied into realistic garment simulation under wind force. Simultaneously, an association of geometry technique reduces the impeding computational time. This system is a re-development of PAD 2D garment CAD system, for the aim of providing garment designers with real-time effect ~riewing and intuitive interactions.
