X fluorescence can quickly carry out measurement without damage and motion. It waswidely adopted in geology, mining , environmental-protection, archaeology and industrial-analysis. Its principium is that in measurement of radioactivity, the pulse energy is directly proportional to pulse signal amplitude detected by the radiation detector. So we may know their energy by measuring their pulse amplitude . Therefore , the crucial factor of technology of nucleus-detection is nuclear spectrum data collecting system whose core is the Multi-Channel Analyzer (MCA).With a view to convenience to measurement in field , the MCA should (be characteristic of.) little volume , low power consumption, powerful function, little weight , simple electrocircuit - design. As compared with Multi-Channel Analyzer, platform of microcomputer consumes much more energy,, Thereby ,it will follow a rational line to be research and developing orientation of nuclear spectrum apparatus to choose new pattern platform of microcomputer of low power and develop tiny pattern and low power nuclear spectrum apparatus.I designed both hardware and software to develop the Multi-Channel Analyzer, of which the key is the PC/104 embedded computer. In a word, it has five traits as follows:(1) The key of apparatus is the PC/104 embedded computer;(2) On the hardware , we introduce the high-speed A/D conversion component-MAX191 to improve the MCA's conversion speed and meet the demand on the spot;(3) Adopting high frequency module of electrical source to reduce its volume.(4) The MCA consumes low power no more than 3.9 watt .(5) The apparatus has little weight.The main technology target of system can meet the demand and possess certain value.
