Drilling Engineering Real-time Multi-parameter Monitoring Systems

AbstractThis paper has great social benefit and economical benefit.Drilling instrument is the major application to monitor and analyze the drilling process, making drilling more safe and rational. The scientific principals of "safe, optimized and balanced drilling" and the customs' requisitions accelerate the developing of drilling instruments; and the electronic technique, computer and communication revolutions make it possible. These days, the drilling instruments are changing from mechanical, hydraulic meters to digital, integrated, intelligent and networklized ones.The advanced companies abroad in this field are M/D TOTCO of USA, DATALOG of Canada and RIGSERV of British. Domestic companies are Shenkai Company hi Shanghai, Xushui Instrument Factory of CNPC, the Third Instrument Factory of CNPC and Chongqing Instrument Factory of CNPC. On a whole, the instruments of both home and foreign made can be unproved in working principals and methods. The domestic ones left behind hi reliability, accuracy and man-computer interface. Aiming at the problem of existing drilling parameters monitoring system, a new monitoring method of drilling parameter is explored. Using new technology of fieldbus and client/server, a real-time and multi-parameter drilling monitoring system with high precision, complete function, beautiful and friendly interface is developed. The system has been applied in drilling scene and gets fine application effect.To solve the problems mentioned above, the article discusses the measuring methods and building of the mathematic model, and by adopting bus and user/server, develops a real-tune multi-parameter drilling monitor system of high accuracy and friendly interface.
