Mobile Agent is an intelligent software entity with independent functions. It is very suit for networks and distributed environments for its special mobility, self-restraint ability and protocol-encapsulated function. With the rapid development and wide uses of Internet, the higher and stricter network security is needed. The mobile Agent with good flexibility can well act on the task of network security. This paper puts forward to the methods of constructing Virtue Mobile Agent Private Channel (VMPC) by mobile Agent to resolve the problems of network security. Then we advance the following ideas: First, in order to realize VMPC, this paper separates the function entity of mobile Agent from its traditional model , and forms structured moving mechanism. Then we establish the moving planes which include Sequential moving mode (SEQ), selected moving mode (SEL), and handout moving mode (ALL). No matter which mode we use, mobile Agents can decide their next moving actions with their inner decision-making functions according to the currQnt states and users'needs.Second, this paper also designs the communication model of mobile Agent and methods to implement VMPC. There are two entities in each mobile Agent environment: Home and Communicator, which cooperate with mobile Agent server to realize the mobile Agent communication. At the same time, the paper emphasizes on the problems of communication invalidation and its resolving methods. Namely, with the signal mechanism,the mobile Agent?s life circle is divided into ove state and taticstate, the amount of received messages in the road is recorded, and then we can resolve the problem by their synchronization. Later, in order to implement VMPC with public networks without investing additional hard wares, the paper takes use of Socket to modify JP head according to its every item and alternati,ve item to accomplish a variable protocol, which can be modified in the course of each communication but having no effects on TCP/IP and users?programmers and data. And then, this paper synthetically makes use of mobile Agent moving mechanism, communication function and variable protocol to realize VMPC. The VMPC communication can be divided into three kinds of modes: remote access VMPC, Intranet VMPC and Extranet VMPC. The selection of these modes is based on the concrete requirements. In different modes, the source host and destination host should use variable protocol to construct VMPC between them by use of mobile Agent and its copy. TheVMPC cannot be cance1led unti l the communication is finished. And then,the resource host generates new mobile Agents acting as the carriersof data, which carry the encrypted data to implement the interactionin the VMPC.At last, the paper comes to the conclusion of VMPC functions andits merits, ana1yses the advantages of using VMPC to construct subnet,and indicates that the VMPC will have very bright prospect in thepresent' Internet mode for its stable theoretical foundation andtechnica1 support. 0f course the paper also advances the prob1ems weshould consider further to develop VMPC.
