CAD System Of DC Traction Motor

Because the Electrical Locomotive has an advantage over other locomotives, the application of it is becoming the mainstream and the development trend in our country. DC Traction Motor, which is the main component of the Electrical Locomotive, determines the working characteristics of the Electrical Locomotive. But because of working environment and some special demand, the motor'sdesign is different from common DC Motors. The structure of it is intricate and design calculation is very large. In order to make the design of motor more accurate and more convenient, the CAD system should be quickly developed. The main content of "DC Traction Motor's CAD system"are given as follows: 1 Analyzed and studied the structure characteristics,working characteristics and the design method of DC Traction motor; 2 Based on motor's characteristics, a new CAD system is developed for DC Traction motor. The program of this system is based on Windows 95 operation system and made with Visual C++ software. With the ListView and TreeView window interface, this system'soperation is easy using mouse and keyboard. The system also gives support to 'designer's experience database'and detailed gutter design. 3 Investigate DC Traction motor's design algorithms, and they are in detail listed in this paper; 4 In order to verify the practicality of the DC Traction motor's CAD system, a motor selected as an example .The result showed that the DC Traction motor has broad practical prospect.
