Gps / Electronic Map Of The Vehicle Navigation System Research

Intelligent transport system is the intelligent method of solving the traffic problem, the vehicle navigation system is the central component of intelligent transport system and the base of the other application. The GPS/electronic map vehicle navigation system is studied in this paper. Through analyzing the whole system, four problems, the data model and structure of the electronic map, the algorithm of map-matching , route-analyzing and map-updating are discussed in this paper. The city of Taiyuan is cited as a example, the vehicle navigation system is analyzed and designed in the paper. The data is collected and disposed through analyzing the special information format of GPS receiver. The navigation electronic map is develop adopting the data structure of Object-Oriented. An algorithm of map-matching based on the mode recognition is applied to the vehicle navigation system in order to revise the error of GPS. The routes with transport limits are analyzed. At last, the map-updating algorithm applying the sign of GPS is put forward.
