The Munsell and CIE color systems play a major role in a lot of color communication fields.They have their advantages that CIE color system can be used to calculate in fix quantify,and Munsell system provides visually uniform spacing.Therefore,the two systems get a wide application.But the conversion is a nonlinear mapping between the two color spaces.There are a lot of work to accomplish the conversion of The Munsell to CIE color systems in color fields.The author achieves contrary conversion to make up the insufficiency.,and completly ,systemicly analyzes and compares these methods.In the paper, the author analyzes and compares graph , search , mathematics model and neural network,and c achieves the programs of the search, the mathematics model and nature network.The author transforms the 2734 samples which are provided by Newhall ets and 120 samples which are random sampling by graph,and calculates the color difference and the comparatively errors of the Value, the Hue , the Chroma. At the same time, the author analyzes the lack of every method in the nonlinear transformer,and completely analyzes, compare four methods.The conclude define that the color difference of search is the bigness , the results of the mathematics model and neural network are better than the search,they satisfy the request of many application.In a word, the author completely analyzes the conversion of CIE color system to Munsell system,establishs theory and experimentation base for the color conversion.
