The emergence of Distributed-Object technique enables people to deal with all the things with an Object-Oriented viewpoint and people will no longer trouble themselves with those tedious problems as handling network transmission. The process of developing applications becomes a process to make Distributed-Object and to compose them. CORBA is a standard of Distributed-Object technique and it represents a whole architecture needed to enable Distributed-Objects to communicate with each other.PFDS is a computer-aided drawing system we developed to design buildingconstruction Drawing. It is developed in Visual C++ programming language with Object-Oriented method and Its main functions include drawing, editting, printing, dealing with files and managing parts. To Make the data be used by more people as well as to standardize the design, the part-library sub-system is implemented through CORBA. This paper mainly introduces the overall structure of PFDS and the key point of CORBA as well as how to design part-library sub-systemit. Particularly it analyzes the part-library sub-system in detail on the permission management, communicating with user and parts management.
