With the development of computer network communication technology, telecoms release a project named Rent of Unix laboratory. When users Login Unix laboratory in a long distance, this project achieves telecoms charging of each user according to the online time. Data Mining System designed in this paper extracts related information from users’information recorded in Unix laboratory. After being processed by the system, the data is transferred to the data collection server. In view of these data being orderless, it is not easy to read them when lots of users frequently logging in and out. Therefore the system is designed to send data to database in the form of table to make data be list systematically. The system follows Client/Server structure that is based on Linux operating system and C++language. The whole system can be divided into Client part and Server part. Client part, which contains data reading part, data matching part and data sending part reads data from Unix laboratory and send out relative messages to Server part, which contains data receiving part, data saving part and data integration part. Server part receives data coming from data sending part and transports them to Oracle database for further process. What’s more, an interface is conceived by graphical user interface application development framework QT to show how clients communicate with the server, which also makes the telecom business administrator monitor the hiring state of Unix laboratory possible.
