| This thesis deals with the development of a CAD system of locomotive electric elements based on AutoCAD R14 for Windows. By using ObjectARX Software Development Kit, the application software is developed to realize setting up drawing database, the edit of elements attributes, the connect with the external database (Access), inquiring the report forms, and creating layout drawing automatically. ObjectARX, the AutoCAD Runtime Extension programming environment, and C++ libraries that enable users to develop AutoCAD applications, extend AutoCAD classes and protocol, and create new commands that operate in the same manner as intrinsic AutoCAD commands. The Extended data is used for adding dedicated data to an object. And Open Database Connectivity (ODBC) is used as application programming interfaces (APIs) that give users the ability to write applications that are independent of any particular database management system (DBMS). Many other kinds of techniques such as graphic library, user interface etc. are introduced in this thesis, which make the operation simpler and interface more friendly. |
