These days, as the development of information technology, the traditional way ofmonitor and control in the electric power has been influenced deeply .Fieldbustechnology is becoming more and more popular because of its simpleness in structureand easiness in maintain and high reliability and openness. A new method of monitorand control using fieldbus technology named FCS(Fieldbus Control System) is moreeffective and safer. And it is used more and more popularly instead of traditionalDCS(Distributed Control System) This dissertation reseaches on fieldbus technologyused in the monitor and control of electric power.This dissertation summarizes the development of fieldbus and introduces a systemof monitor and control in the electric power successfully using PROFIBUStechnology.This dissertation researches the technology of PROFLBUS as well as drawingsome conclusion about the fitness of PROFIBUS to the multi-fieldbus thisdissertation also gives some ideas about how to use more than one bus in one system.And then, under the WII4DOWSNT development platform and the C++ Buildenvironment, this dissertation designs and implements the communication module andthe protocol module of the YSS2000 system. At last, this dissertation give thereasonable design for "hot backup" of this system.At the end of dissertation, it emphasizes on the shortage of this system, andsuggest some advice on this system.
