Design Of Seamless Campus Network And Simple Network Management System

With the rapid development of social informatization and the popularity of mobile computers, smart phones,and on which the various kinds of business carrying out, school teachers and students, researchers, administrative officer increasingly demand accessing the campus network anytime, anywhere, but the cable network nowadays is unable to meet this rapidly growing demand. Along with the expand of the campus network, the network management also encountered several new problems: export of network congestion, theft of IP address, modification of the MAC address, user name and password lost, thus leading to that legitimate network users can not use the network regularly.In order to solve the problems mentioned above, this thesis put forward several method and view, by which the integration design of the seamless campus network and the authentication system can be upgraded to a new level. On the point of meeting the teachers and students to access the network anytime and anywhere, this proposes a developing method of the integration seamless campus network; In order to prevent the waste of network band-width and strengthen the standardization of the campus network management, this thesis also develops a certification and billing system.By the use of advanced wireless hardware technology, such as micro-cellular technology, radio relay technology, wireless bridging technology, the wireless base station technology, making it possible to design seamless integration of the campus network physically; And accompany with Linux operating system as a development platform,there is a development of a W-radius2 authentication and billing software by the additional use of the Open-radius, which is an open source implementation of Adius protocol. Through the control of authentication and accounting system, it is more likely to make the campus network management more standardized, and effective prevention of the waste of network resources, thus leading to a self-management of the campus network which achieves a reasonable sharing of network construction and maintenance costs. Based on the Huizhou Vocational technical college, there is a reality development and application in network construction and management, in hardware and software. In the previous area, there is a new design of seamless campus network, and improvement of existing traditional wired network at the same time. In terms of software, there is an independent research and development of the W-radius2 software, which is an authentication and accounting system to manage the entire campus network. During a period of testing and application of the seamless campus network,it runs firmly, meets the demands of accessing network anytime and anywhere by the teachers and students; the W-radius2 certification and billing software is also applied successfully in the campus network resources management, authentication and accounting, thus resulting in a more improved utilization of the campus network resources.
