Earthquake is the most fatal one among the calamities. Although earthquake prediction is a world-wild problem, it is also challenging for the vast number of seismic workers to strive for. As the grass-root earthquake department, we should process earthquake precursory observation data and seismographic observation data, meanwhile, timely analyze and process the abnormal data in seismic information. Therefore to make a scientific authentic earthquake tendency prediction, which to provides decision basis for the local government’s disaster relief. As a result, it’s needed to develop Quanzhou seismic information management system.The Quanzhou city earthquake information management system referred in this paper adopts C/S mode design, while Windows XP System as operating system and MySQL as database. This system has realized the real-time sharing of multifarious seismic information. And it has friendly interface and strong practicability. The paper describes the analysis of Quanzhou earthquake information management system demand in details. Firstly, it points out the three main businesses should be completed in recent seismic information process, which are the earthquake precursory seismic data management, earthquake data management, earthquake prediction and analysis of information management. On the foundation of the business process analysis, the system has reengineered the business process and got the functional requirement the system needs. Secondly, the paper makes the functional analysis on the basis of demand analysis. Using case analysis and case description, the paper indicates the system’s functions as well as the main modules. And they are system management module, station data management module, precursory data management module, seismic data management module, analysis and prediction management module. Besides, it also describes cases used in general and different modules, analyzing the system business package diagram. Then, the paper analyzes the data required to process in different functions of the system. For example, the functional data is analyzed by functional thumbnail. The data relations in the system are analyzed by the entity-class relation analysis and database’s table data. Lastly, it concludes the results of this analysis, therefore to prospect the future work needed by the system.
