Research And Analysis Of Jiangmen Cable Broadband CMTS Monitoring System Upgrade

In June,2000, Guangdong Cable Corporation Limited Jiangmen branch successfully opened the broadband net work service in Jiangmen, providing not only wired TV programs service but also many functional services like internet input, local area network, digit TV and VOD to the users, breaking new ground for the wired TV business in the Internet times and expanding the value-added services. But, the CMTS network equipments are facing the situations that many brands and models existing as the advancing of the two-way network development. At this stage, the CMTS network-management function is simple, lacking of supporting system for opening new business and analyzing stoppages, which is not good for developing business nor connecting with the comprehensive working&maintain system at the later stage.To ensure the Operation Maintenance Department can in-time monitor and manage the operating situation of CMTS equipment and CM, and the company can fully know the network operating situation and in-time collect the basic data of network improving and network control.This paper is to introduce the research background, project importance, the research and using situation of CMTS, to pinpoint the research content of the paper and the main work.
