In the information era, the information processing with computer net-work has been widely used in all walks of life. The users have more access to adequate information and quick means to get information. In the educational system we find that some colleges have their own students’ information management system, which includes management science, information science, system science, modern communication technique and computer technology. The management system has improved the work quality and efficiency of the colleges. So comparing with the traditional processing of students’ information, the management system is more incomparably advantageous and beneficial to the improvement of school’s management quality.The thesis concludes the research background and the significance of the marks managing system in Xinhui No.4Middle School, the research topic and the way to conclude the thesis. In the course of the business analysis, the thesis analyses the existed problems, organizational structure and the original business process and presents the reformed business process; In the course of the functional analysis, the thesis, by means of data stream analysis and data dictionary, clarifies the function of the system and presents the structure of general function and each functional module, which includes data management, marks input, marks collecting, marks checking, marks enquiry, marks testifying, mark-sheet making and system management. In the course of data analysis, the thesis analyses all the data required by each system function, provides us E-R graph and sets up the database. In the last part of the thesis, I make a conclusion of the research and the analysis that I have done and give my outlook on the research work. I intend to carry it out in the future.
