Research And Analysis On Computer Grade Examination Management System Of Yunnan University Tourism And Culture College

National Computer Rank Examination (NCRE) is a national computer proficiency test sponsored by the National Education Examinations Authority (NEEA), Ministry of Education. With the comprehensive promotion of NCRE and continual improvement of social influence, the number of candidates presented is increasing in recent years. As a growing number of students from Tourism and Culture College of Yunnan University take the exam each year, the exam-related management work becomes more complex. The traditional manual management way is faced with many shortcomings. In order to simplify the application procedures, improve efficiency, reduce labor intensity, and facilitate candidates, it is necessary to establish information-based construction of relevant management systems.This thesis focuses on the examination center at Tourism and Culture College of Yunnan University. An NCRE online registration system was designed to facilitate the candidates’practical needs in registration and examination affairs. After successful login into the system through authentication, administrators can manage accounts, uploaded files, and each column of the system. They can also publish various NCRE-related information, and control the opening or closing of online registration and payment functions. Through either networked personal computers or smart phones, examinees can sign up the system, upload an electronic photograph, and pay fees. After successful registration, examinees can check enrollment and print examinational certification, or view the NCRE-related information on the system’ published by the administrators, and also can check test scores easily. Invigilators can view invigilation tasks through the system, and report the situation of each candidate during examination. Teaching secretaries of all departments can view students’ information and test results of their own department. The implementation of this system will help to promote the Internet-based, scientific and standardized management of NCRE affairs.
