Research And Analysis On Teaching Material Management System Of Yunnan University Tourism And Culture College

Textbook management is a basic part of teaching management and also a basic condition that maintains the normal order of teaching. Textbook management is a guarantee for deepening of teaching reform, improvement of teaching quality, and training of qualified personnel. Thus, in colleges, the normal course of teaching affairs directly depends on whether or not textbook management is reasonable. However, Tourism and Cultural College at Yunnan University still adopts the traditional manual approach in textbook management. This approach is limited by low working efficiency, work tediousness faced by management staff, and high likelihood of making mistake. Thus, designing a textbook management system that adapts to the new environment and new teaching mode is very urgent.Teachers can declare and inquire teaching materials; students can inquire and ch oose teaching materials;the suppliers can check the purchasing information and give f eedback; staff can upload material information to server by setting up parameters in material management module; educational administration staff will take charge the re mote maintenance for the parameters of the system;and the dean can check the mterial bid application,deal with inventory profit and inventory loss through this system.The research and development of this system will largely improve working efficiency, alleviate burden of management staff, and enhance the effectiveness of information communication. This system will also assist students in updating their knowledge structure duly and promote the systematization and automation of textbook affairs in the department of textbook. This system consists of six modules: textbook apply-for-purchase side, textbook purchase user side, textbook into-storage user side, textbook storage user side, textbook out-of-storage user side, and textbook reception&selling user side login interface. At the research stage, the feasibility of this system was investigated, and then the demands of its functions and performance were evaluated. At the analysis stage, the structure, specific functions and database of this system were investigated in detail. Finally, the conclusions and prospects of this system were provided. The research and development of this system will contribute to the information-based construction of textbook management in Tourism and Cultural College at Yunnan University.
