The control system of existing extruders was simple, the remote monitoring system was difficult. This topic was to apply the technology of the Internet of things to PLC, which as the main body of the extruder control system. Forming the wireless control system of extruder. To achieve the real-time monitoring of the extruder barrel temperature. This paper mainly introduces the hardware composition, serial programming of c language on the ARM board, and network programming of the Android client.According to the requirement of the function and the design of extruder wireless control system, introduced each hardware the composition of control system in detail. In the software design mainly includes the following aspects:Siemens PLC free serial communication, serial communication,ARM board and Android wireless communication, the designation of Android client. The wireless control system has great versatility. Depending on this system,we can design similar control system which has serial communication. The system provides convenient for the customer’s re-development. Finally,demonstrate the actual control figure of the system.The repeated testing control system of extruder, different parts of system run normally; ARM can readout signal data from PLC; ARM board can broadcast signal to the mobile phone through a wireless network; Android client can also display PLC temperature. The serial communication serial communication using similar embedded C language, interface using Android client, so as to ensure the efficiency, communication speed, but also ensure the good properties of the human computer interaction.
