Surface Plasmon Resonance(SPR) is a phenomenon of physical optics, which generated by the interaction of the incident light wave and the free electrons of the metal. Based on the principle of surface plasmon resonance sensor, detecting technology has been widely applied in the optics, chemistry, biological, medical and other fields.In this paper, SPR sensor system of prism configuration based on measurement apparatus for spectral and angular resonance of SPR. Two apparatus are integrated into one apparatus which can both measure the angular and spectral reflectivity achieving low-cost and multifunctional.In this paper, SPR sensor system have be used to measurement the refraction of liquids. The relationship between the sensing system resonance wavelength and the refractive index of the liquid to be measured by analysis the spectral characteristics of SPR. In order to solve the mutual restriction of measuring range and sensitivity resolution, Wavelength and angular combined SPR modulations can solution well about the mutual restriction of measuring range and sensitivity resolution, in order to cover the whole measuring range of refractive index, and improve the measuring sensitivity and resolution simultaneously.
