As a new technology, virtual reality technology development has been the concern of researchers in different fields, and its application in the field of teaching has been the focus of people. First, the virtual reality technology itself has unique charm and feature, which has attracted a large number of experts and scholars to explore its application in education. Secondly, the scale and effects of virtual reality technology in distance education applications has a large gap to the ideal tar get people’s minds, which needs further exploration and research in support of educational theory and research techniques. Thirdly, in the process of teaching high school physics, physics experiment plays a vital role in operational approach, on the other hand, applying the physical principles of abstract and physical concepts to the visible using of specific teaching is an important direction for future development.With the continuous development of virtual reality technology, how to link the virtual reality technology to the high sc hool physics teaching closely is a hot topic today, which could change the traditional teaching methods to improve the quality of teaching.From this perspective, this article summarizes the application of virtual reality technology in today’s manifestatio n of high school physics teaching, and discusses the technical theory of virtual reality technology in physics teaching and pedagogy as related support in details. For different applications of virtual reality in high school physical education in the use o f 3ds Max and unity3 d related modeling, and interact in unity3 d. It provides support for virtual reality in high school physics teaching methods and techniques.This paper is divided into five parts, the first part study and introduce the concept of virtual reality technology, virtual reality technology 3I characteristics of virtual reality and virtual reality technology applied in teaching physics teaching at home and abroad. The second part analyzes and study the virtual reality technology in teaching high school physics and three-dimensional modeling software unity3 d 3ds Max software and one of the geometric modeling, 3D graphics transformation, collision detection technology has been studied, but also theory of pedagogy, and found that Dell’s "Experience tower" theory and the theory of virtual reality is the same.
